We’re off on our travels once more! This time to the Windy City, Chicago, for the annual ISTE Conference and Expo to spread the word about EduGeek to the US education community.

This year we are very pleased to announce that we have teamed up with NetSupport and will be occupying booth #944 in the McCormick Place Convention Centre between the 25th and 27th June. If you are attending, please come over for a chat, we’d love to see you and furnish you with goodies and any information we have about interesting things we have seen at the show. Not only will we be there but also several.

(next week there is a special raffle for those that couldnt come as well fyi) Before we list the results of the EduGeek Bett 2018 draw below, we’d just like to thank you all for coming to visit us on our stand with last week. It really was a pleasure to see you all in real life and, when possible, sit and have a chat, especially those who we got to meet for the first time this year and others of you who we see far too little of for one reason or another. We hope that you all had a great time at Bett, and the pizza went down well 😊 We do have to apologise for the slight delay in doing the raffle, this was due to our finding that one of the prizes may not have worked as well as advertised and we had to find a suitable replacement. So, without further ado, let’s get it done! This year we shall be joining forces with the wonderful chaps at ICT Direct on stand E150 right in the heart of the action. As usual we shall be there to meet you all in the real world, furnish you with freebies, raffle prizes (for both visitors and those who couldn't make it), provide a place to rest and meet up and (some may even think this is the most important part) provide you with free pizza at lunchtime each day (keep an eye on our Twitter feed -for timings each day).

A video posted by Lucie Davis (@luciedavis) on Jun 26, 2016 at 6:51am PDT Davis isn't alone in experimenting with microchips. One recently implanted chips in employees' hands, enabling staff members to open doors and operate the photocopier without using traditional passes. And Barclays', bPay, allows you to turn just about anything into a contactless card using a sticker containing a near field communication (NFC) chip. Here's hoping Davis' plan gets TfL's approval.
