Office Home Business 2011 For Mac

I just bought and downloaded Office for Mac Home and Business 2011 to put onto my brand new MacBookPro (Oct 2013). During installation, I get a message saying Mac requires 64 bit. But when you purchase from Microsoft store, it doesn't tell you that what you're buying is 32 bit until after you've bought it. I phoned Microsoft support - they say they'll give a refund - I replied I don't want a refund because I want Office for Mac. Obviously I'll take the refund if I can't find a solution. As long as Word use the Binary format they used (even with XML based save.docx) since the 90's it never will be.

Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are basically the same application that's has had upgrades to make it compatible with newer systems. Outlook because it’s a brand new program it may be.

Its time They got out of the dark ages. They are held back by short-sighted bean counters who feel that MS should short changing Mac users that have grown over the years.

They should look at profit overall, not divided it by users. Apple has drawfed them as a Company, and MS is in serious straights of existing even as a Company. Just look at Wall Street, Apple is the Top Dog they the most profitable company in the World. Ms needs to do something to rejuvinate themselves. Rewriting the Mac Version of Office and adding a Mac version of Access would go a long ways toward that goal, stop Compartmentalizing users.
