Eight-way directional pad. Six digital buttons. Button placement too close together for Fighting games, the D-Pad is way too stiff and seems to be off as far as responsiveness goes. I use controllers to play Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike on FightCade, and this controller makes me look like I am using a keyboard. There are probably better alternatives out there for a good, cheap fighting game controller.The build quality seems to be decent, and the cord is long enough.
Otherwise, get a Saturn repro controller or something else for fighters. I have totally mixed feelings about this purchase. I ordered 2 of these for my Retropie console and was able to set them up without any issues. They feel great and handle just like I remember my Genesis growing up. Have already handled a ton of Street Fighter, Sonic, and such with no issues.However, one of these controllers is already completely dead. No button response, and will not even be recognized my any device I try and plug it into.
